Driven by Professor Barbenfouillis, a group of daring astronomers launch themselves into the cosmos inside a capsule propelled by a giant cannon. Upon crashing into the eye of the Moon, the explorers discover a surreal landscape. However, their wonder turns to peril when they are captured by aggressive, insectoid lunar natives called Selenites. Relying on a series of explosive combats, the scientists manage a narrow escape, plunging back to Earth in a spectacular ocean splashdown.
