Synopsis
When spirited Londoner Alice White accepts a late-night invitation to an artist’s studio, a sudden attack forces her to kill in self-defense. Desperate to cover her tracks, she flees into the night, only for her police detective boyfriend to be assigned to lead the murder investigation.
As he uncovers evidence pointing straight to the woman he loves, a ruthless stranger steps out of the shadows with proof of the crime—and a chilling demand for silence. Famous as Alfred Hitchcock’s very first "talkie," this landmark thriller is an edge-of-your-seat masterclass in tension, sound, and moral ambiguity.
